Hawaii 96720 Your Committee on Finance. to which was referred Bill No. 205, reports as follows: Hill No. 205, transmitted jointly with Hill No. 206 by Director of Finance William Takaha, via Communication No. 446, dated December I8, 2003, amends Ordinance No. 03-91, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30. 2004. The amendment is as follows: From 3101.10 Real Property Taxes General $ 820.000 3101.14 Real Property Penalties 80.000 3101.16 Real Property Interests 600,000 TOTAL $1,500,000 To: 010-801-5801.43 Transfer to Selflnsurance Fund General $1.000,000 010-801-580135 Transfer to Solid Waste Fund 500,000 TOTA1, $1.500,000 With the recent full payment of the Kohana`iki real property tax delinquency debt, the County netted approximately $1,500,000 in unanticipated revenue over what had heen budgeted. Specitically, these funds will be used to cover existing obligations to the Selt=Insurance Fund to pay for settlements in excess of $1,000,000. Also, to comply with the conditions of the South Hilo Sanitary Landfill Consent Agreement between the State of Hawai' i Department of Health and the County of Hawaii, Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, the County has agreed to provide corrective actions for storm water management, cover materials requirements, control of wind-blown litter and hazardous waste screening requirements. In addition, in order to maintain regulatory compliance in Wcst Hawaii, additional funds are needed for litter migration control at the West Hawaii Landfill as the amount originally estimated for Fiscal Year 2003-2004 have been expended.
