Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 207, reports as follows:
Bill No. 207, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 447.
dated December 23, 2003, amends Ordinance No. 03-91, as amended, the Operating Budget,
ending .Tune 30, 2004. The amendment is as follows:

The Department of Liquor Control's equipment funds will be used to purchase a
transcriber/recorder and sound system for both the Kona and Hilo offices, an LD. digital camera
system, and an upgraded computer system. Funds from the Department of Liquor Control's
lapsed fine monies will be expanded for programs to promote compliance to liquor laws.
During its discussion, Your Committee learned that the Liquor Control equipment amount is
incon~ect due to a miscalculation of the transcriber and recorder tigures. Draft 2 of Bill No. 207
will be forwarded prior to the next Council meeting.
Your Committec on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 207 and
recommends it pass lirst reading.
