Bill No. 225, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 483,
dated .lanuary 22, 2004, amends Ordinance No. 03-91, as amended, the Operating F3udget,
ending June 30, 2004. The amendment is as follows:

One of the Department of Environmental Management's top priorities is to clean up the scrap
metal yards in Hilo and Kealakehe. Much progress has been made and in order to continue with
their aggressive schedule to clean up those yards, Department of Environmental wishes to utilize
all monies available in the Vehicle Disposal Fund.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 225 and
recommends it pass first reading.
