No. 155-04 Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, Wawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 155-04, reports as follows: Resolution No. 155-04, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 499, dated February 4, 2004, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the American Heart Association of Hawaii and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. Inc. The American Heart Association of Hawaii and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Inc., has graciously donated two Zoll AED Plus Automated External Defibrillators to the Department of Parks and Recreation's Aquatics llivision for use at the Kawamoto Swim Stadium and the Kona Community Aquatic Center for emergency responses to cardiac arrest. The value of this donation is estimated at $4,400.00. Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, I lawai`i County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. A letter of appreciation will be sent to Ms. Karen Seth, Program Director, American Heart Association of Hawaii, 245 N. Kukui Street, Suite 204, Honolulu, Hawaii 96717-3985, acknowledging this generous donation.
