RE: Communication No. 505/Resolution No. 159-04
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Communication No. 505 and attached Resolution No. 159-04, reports as follows:
Communication No. 505 and attached Resolution No. 159-04 from Council Member Joseph
Reynolds, dated February 4, 2004, is to request the state and county administrations to proceed
without further delay to finalize planning, design and to begin construction of roads and highways in
the South Kohala, North Kona and South Kona Districts and to finalize transportation plans with
infrastructure financing mechanisms.
Your Committee amended Resolution 159-04 to remove the 9'h and I0'h WHEREAS clauses which
discusses a moratorium.
Your Committee is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution 159-04, as amended to Draft
2, and recommends its adoption.
