Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 185-04, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 185-04, transmitted by Director of Finance William "fakaba, via Communication
No. 619, dated May 5, 2004, authorizes the payment of funds of a later tiscal year and of more
than one fiscal year for amulti-year lease for a high volume copier/laser color printer/scanner
machine.
fhe Planning Department wishes to enter into amulti-year lease agreement for tive years for one
high volume copier/laser color printer/scanner machine. Funds would be budgeted in future
tiscal years to cover the anticipated costs.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 185-04
and recommends its adoption.
