RE: Communication No. 717/Resolution No. 219-04
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred Communication
No. 717 and attached Resolution No. 219-04, reports as follows:
Communication No. 717 and attached Resolution No. 219-04, dated July 29, 2004, from Patricia O'Toole,
Deputy Corporation Counsel, proposed a resolution authorizing the acceptance of dedication of real properties,
including all subdivision improvements thereon, from Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation tc
the County of Hawaii for road right-of--way purposes.
Your Committee at its meeting today moved to approve Resolution No. 219-04, which states that the subject
subdivision improvements have been completed according to County of Hawaii standards, are acceptable for
dedication, and are in full compliance with the provisions of Chapter 23 (Subdivision Code), of the Hawai `i
County Code. Council Member Tyler requested information from the Department of Public Works on the cost
of maintaining roads dedicated to the County. Council Member Safarik stated that he is working with the
Department of Public Works to address this issue.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Resolution No. 219-04, and recommends its adoption.
