No. 220-04 PLACE: Council Chambers TIME.: 10:50 a.m. Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, F[awai'i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 220-04, reports as follows: Resolution No. 220-04, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 307 by Director of Finance William 'Takaba, via Communication No. 718, dated August 3, 2004, authorizes the receipt and expenditure of Bay Clinic's Hawaii County Youth Anti-Drug Fund Community Grants Program. fhe Bay Clinic, through its Hawaii County Youth Anti-Drug Fund Community Grants Program, has awarded $L000 to the Department of Parks and Recreation. 'these funds will he used to defray costs incurred by the Recreation Division's Honoka`a Summer Fun Youth Camp. This camp provided an opportunity for youngsters to experience camping and drug awareness education in a recreational environment. Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, county departments must obtain the consent ofthe council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers.
