Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 221-04, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 221-04, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 719. dated August 2. 2004, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Ocean View
Communit~~ Association. Inc.
The Ocean View Community Association, Inc., has graciously donated fifteen (15) First
Responder Medical kits and three (3) Mega Medic kits to the Hawaii County Fire Department.
The value of this donation is estimated at $3,000.
Pursuant to Article XIII. Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter. the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Ocean View Community Association, lnc.. F.O. Box
6016. Oceanview, Hawaii 96737, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 221-04
and reconunends its adoption.
