Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 313, reports as follows:
Bill No. 313, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 22R-04 by Director of Finance
William'Cakaba, via Communication No. 734, dated August 11, 2004, amends Ordinance
No. 04-74, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2005. The amendment is as
follows:

I~hese funds from the State of I Iawai'i Department of Transportation will he used to purchase
vehicles to enhance the island's public transportation services and to create park and ride lots in
Kona and Puna.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds For the
Federal "Cransit Administration Section 5309 Capital grant.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 313 and
recommends it pass first reading.
