Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 235-04, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 235-04, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 745, dated August 27, 2004, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Mike and
Sandy Kroll.
Mike and Sandy Kroll have graciously donated a dressage arena to the Department of Parks and
Recreation for use at the Pana'ewa Equestrian Center at the Pana'ewa Recreation Complex,
which will be used for a variety of dressage events. The value of this donation is estimated at
$4,000.
Pursuant to Article XIIL Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalCofthe
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will he sent to Mike and Sandy Kroll, 5024 Vernon Springs Drive,
Atlanta, Georgia 30338, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 235-04
and recommends its adoption.
