On July 23, 1997, io report on our early findings and to gain community
input to the Ka' apuni O' Hawai' i Trail project, there were over 100
enthusiastic people in attendance. All attendees supported the project.
Councilmen Curtis Tyler and Joe Reynolds were in attendance and can
substantiate this enthusiasm. This trail is long over due, and the public
wants to see it realiz?d-
? PATH currently is administering over $40,000 in funding from Hawaii
County Counciimernbers to further develop the first section of trail, the
very popular Old Walua Road Bike & Pedestrian Scenic Route, in the
Sunset Subdivision of Kona.
