September 20, 2004, transfers funds as follows:

These funds will be used to provide free bus transportation for senior citizens to attend the 2004 and 2005 "Senior
Citizens Wellness Fairs" in Hilo on November 4, 2004 and Kona in March 2005. The transfer will ensure [hat
seniors throughout the entire County of Hawaii will have the opportwtity to gain from these worthwhile events.
These Senior Citizens Wellness Pairs will help to increase older citizens' awareness of the various services and
benefits provided by the County's Elderly Programs. It will also promote wellness, preventive education, and
nutritious diet by offering free cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes screening.
Your Committee Members felt that the aforementioned transfer should he put into the department's budget for the
nest f fiscal year to avoid doing a transfer out of the Council budget.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 241-04 and recommends
its adoption.
