No. 04-74. as amended, the Operating Budget, ending.lune 30, 2005. The amendment is as

"These funds from the U.S. Department of Energy, through the State of Hawaii Department of
Business, Economic Development, and'1'ourism will be used to establish a working group to
support utilization of direct use of geothermal heat by gathering and providing information from
and to the community, the County government, and interest parties.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for a
Cieopowcring the West.
For infivrmational purposes, Mr. Tyler voted kanalua twice.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 346 and
recommends it pass first reading.
