Your Committee on Parks and Environmental Management [o which was referred Communication No. 836,
from .I. C urtis Tyler III, Vice-Chair, Hawaii County Council, dated October 27, 2004, reports as folloHS:
Communication No. 836 transmitted Resolution 262-04, authorizing the extension of the public sewer from
Ali'i Drive mauka xross Walua Road and reimbursement for the cost of construction of the extension for
Bolton, Inc. Copies of the approved construction plans were attached to the resolution as Exhibit "A."
At the meeting, Communication No. 836.1, dated November 9, 2004, from Nelson Ho, Deputy Director of
the Department of Environmental Management, was circulated. In the letter Mr. Ho noted that the project
had undergone design revisions at least two times and has now been approved by the Wastewater Division
(W WD). He also stated that W WD does not anticipate any other projects will he serviced or hooked up
within the next ten years as all surrounding property owners have sewers.
Council member J. Curtis "fyler. III acknowledged Mr. Ho's statement.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members, Your Committee concurs wide the intent and purpose of
Resolution 262-04, and recommends its adoption.
