Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 8 ] 2, reports as follows:
Communication No. 813, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, dated
Octoher 18, 2004, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Potluckers Golf Club.
fhe Potluckers Golf Club has graciously donated $643.00 to the Department of Parks &
Recreation for programs at the Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo.
Pursuant to Article XIII. Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council. on behalf of the
County, may accept gilts or donations of personal property.
Also, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(c), of the Hawaii County Code, any
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of
finance shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Potluckers Golf Club, c/o Lenny Paik, 455 Naniakea
Street, Hilo. Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the acceptance of the $643.00 donation from the
Potluckers Golf Club.
