The Hawaii County Oftice of Aging has allocated these funds to the Department of Parks &
Recreation Coordinated Services Program for the Elderly's (CSE) Equipment account. These
funds will enable Coordinated Services to replace one of their current vehicles, which is either
unable to be repaired or is costing considerable amounts to repair.
Pursuant to Section 46-7. Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is already authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for this
program identified in the Operating Budget.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 364 and
recommends it pass lirst reading.
