RE: An ordinance to amend Chapter 24, Articles 5 and 6, and an ordinance to amend
Chapter 18, Articles 1, 2 and 3 of the Hawaii County Code
Attached for your consideration are two bills for ordinances amending the referenced
Chapters of the Hawaii County Code to reflect the movement of the driver licensing,
periodic motor vehicle inspection (PMVI) and public transportation related
responsibilities and staff from the Hawaii County Police Department to the Department
of Finance. These changes are part of the ongoing transition process between the Police
Department and the Department of Finance.
