Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a resolution transferring $75,000 into the Public Safety
Disaster/ Emergency account. The Fire Department has been receiving
invoices for the Kau fire and has yet to receive invoices for the Waikoloa fire.
The department would like this resolution to go directly to the Council meeting
scheduled on June 2, 1998.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Finance
Department.

RE: Attached Resolution
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regard to Resolution No. 2 7 2, which
transfers $75,000 into the Public Safety Disaster/Emergency account, waiving said
referral from the Committee on Finance in order that appropriate action can be taken by
the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be
granted.
