SUBJECT: A Resolution to Encourage an Affirmative Vote at the 2008 General Election to
Convene Delegates for a Hawai'i Constitutional Convention
Enclosed is a resolution encouraging an affirmative vote at the 2008 General Election to convene
a Constitutional Convention, as this item will be placed on this year's general election ballot.
The last Constitutional Convention was convened in 1978 and it has been ten years since the
question to convene a Constitutional Convention was last put to Hawaii voters.
Please place this matter before the appropriate committee to meet on May 19, 2008.
