HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 670 Draft 01 2006-2008OFFICE INFORMATION ONLY Meeting: .Tune 3, 2008 -Council Meeting (38`h Session) Action: Close File -June 3, 2008 Re: RESOLUTION 670-08/C-1259/WAIVED-FC COUNTY OF HAWAII ~~V Os N~ ~'`' y. ~dig~ .; -. r~ o~'MP~ STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO: ~1~~ Ov A RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE ADMINISTRATION TO REDRAW THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE WEST HAWAII GOLF SUBSIDY PROGRAM TO ALLOW THE WAIMEA COUNTRY CLUB TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SUBSIDY PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Request for Proposal (RFP) for the West Hawaii Golf Subsidy Program excludes the Waimea Country Club from participating in the program; and WHEREAS, the Waimea Country Club has been a participant golf course in the West Hawaii Subsidy Program over the past year and was well received by West Hawaii residents; and WHEREAS, upon learning that the Waimea Country Club would not be eligible for participation, a petition with over 1,100 signatures was collected encouraging the County of Hawaii to continue the West Hawaii Golf Subsidy Program at the Waimea Country Club; and WHEREAS, the $1.1 million subsidy that would include the Waimea Country Club would be a tremendous compliment to the successful subsidy program enjoyed by West Hawaii residents; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Administration will redraw the boundary lines for the West Hawaii Golf Subsidy Program to include the Waimea Country Club and re-bid the Request for Proposal upon approval of this resolution. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Honorable Mayor Harry Kim and William Takaba, Director of Finance. Dated at , Hawaii, this day of , 2008.
