The Solid Waste Division (SWD) of the Department of Environmental Management
(DEM}for the County of Hawaii is updating the Integrated Solid Waste Management
Plan (ISWMP). Prior to preparing a plan, the county is required by HRS §342G-22, to
form a Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAG} appointed by the Mayor.
It is my pleasure to inform you that in addition to the ten names that were submitted to
you on April 23, 2008, (letter attached for your easy reference), I have appointed Jes
Foster and Mike Kaha to the newly formed Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
