Dear Chairman Chung:
Please support this resolution to exchange property that the county owns with
SoBay Corporation for the property at Wai'aha Bay.
Already there are very few sandy beaches on our island , and "Honl's" is important
for both residents and tourists. It would be a terrible loss to our community and
the environment if it were to erode and disappear from the wave action that a sea
wall will cause. The beach at this beautiful little bay only came back to us after the
original sea wall was destroyed - evidence that the same kind of destruction
happening on other islands can happen here very quickly.
Trading other land for this special place is a perfect solution that makes everyone
happy. Please support the resolution!
