These signatures are in addition to the 700 signatures submitted to the Finance Committee previously by Michael Varney. In addition, 281 signatures of students and teachers of Kealakehe Intermediate School, were submitted directly. These signatures show thoughtful support by Katlua-Kona citizens who realize the importance of preserving the few precious beaches that we have for our children. All told, over 1000 signatures have now been submitted. I hope that you will accept them in good faith and work diligently towards obtaining Wai'aha Bay for a much-needed beach park.
