Comm. 977: RELOCATION OF KONA GARDENS FLEA MARKET From Dick Dresie dated February 17, 1987, transmitting a Viewpoint entitled "Flea Market fills a necessary need and will continue", which was published in PC-47 Page 2 March 10, 1987 Comm. 977: West Hawaii Today on February 17, 1987, and asks the -continued- Council's help in relocating the Kona Gardens Flea Market. 977.1: From Mr. & Mrs. Ivan Pretty of Captain Cook dated February 22, 1987, informing that they and their many visitors enjoy the Kona Gardens Flea Market and hope to see it continue. 977.2: From Dee Leon dated February 15, 1987; the D. O. Lewis family; Betty Lou Gaskill and Robert W. Gaskill, informing of their support of the Kona Gardens Flea Market. Comm. 978: REPORTS FROM STATE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR From Council Chairman Stephen K. Yamashiro dated February 25, 1987, transmitting for review and disposition, reports from the State Legislative Auditor. Comm. 979: FLUORIDATION ISSUE From Jay Maxner dated February 18, 1987, transmitting for review, information on fluoride, and urges support of Councilman James Dahlberg's resolution opposing the State passing legislation mandating fluoridation of Hawaii's water systems (Resolution No. 266). 979.1: From Dr. Robert Sumner-Mack, District Health Services Administrator, State Department of Health, dated February 23, 1987, transmitting for review, a document entitled "San Francisco Department of Public Health Reply to Board of Supervisors on Questions About Fluoridation", which was prepared in 1985 at the request of the Board. Comm. 980: WATER SAMPLING - PUNALUU RESTAURANT From Harold Matsuura, Chief Sanitarian, Hawaii District, State Department of Health, dated February 25, 1987, reporting on the water quality sampling of the sea water fronting Punaluu Restaurant. Informs laboratory analysis of sea waters at three separate sites found low levels of coliform and fecal streptococcus organisms and do not support the reported "polluted sea water" comments. States he does not support need for additional studies of these waters.
