Comm. 1203: APPOINTMENT TO THE TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
From Mayor Dante K. Carpenter dated July 20, 1987,
submitting for consideration and confirmation, the
following appointee to the Transportation Commission:
Ms. Sally L. Wehrsig, an independent from Hilo,
for a term to expire on December 31, 1991.
Comm. 1215: REZONING ORDINANCE NO. 893
From Planning Director Albert Lono Lyman dated July 23,
1987, informing that Condition C of Ordinance No. 893,
relating to agricultural activity for the first
increment of Aina Moluhi Subdivision (aka Halelio
Subdivision) has been complied with. The property is
being utilized for raising cattle and horses.
Comm. 1216: HOUSE BILL 1357, SENATE DRAFT 1
From Mayor Dante K. Carpenter dated July 24, 1987,
expressing appreciation to the Council for their help
in securing passage of House Bill 1357, Senate Draft 1,
which removes matters relating to geothermal energy
from contested case hearings. States the legislation
has removed the biggest administrative road block in
the way of developing the County's priceless energy
resources.
