Comm. 1086.1: REGULATING THE USE OF DIRT BIKES
From Planning Director Albert Lono Lyman, dated
June 15, 1987, informing the Office of Corporation
Counsel is drafting legislation to require dirt bikes
to have the same exhaust mufflers required for
motorcycles driven on public highways; further, they
will seek in 1988 to have the State Legislature amend
Chapter 205, Hawaii Revised Statutes, in order to
regulate dirt bikes in the State Agricultural district.
Comm. 1163: APPOINTMENT TO PLANNING BOARD OF APPEALS
From Mayor Dante K. Carpenter, dated June 16, 1987,
submitting for consideration and confirmation, the
appointment of Mr. George Martin to the Planning Board
of Appeals. Mr. Martin, a democrat from Hilo, will
serve until may 31, 1992, filling a vacancy created by
the expired term of Mr. Harold H. Okuhama.
