Comm. 1504: REZONING REQUEST - ELIZABETH McCORMICK
(Bills 500 KALOKO, NORTH KONA
& 501) TMK: 7-3-24:35 (25.9 acres)
From Planning Commission Chairman Thomas A. Krieger
dated February 18, 1988, submitting a bill. to change
the district classification for 25.9 acres of land
from an Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a) to an

North Kona.
Informs the Planning Director has recommended denial
of the request and has proposed a change of the
classification from an Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a)

the Planning Commission has recommended approval of
the rezoning request. Both legislative bills are

Comm. 1504.5: rezoning application. States she knows many people
(cont'd) who are interested in living at a higher elevation
on an acre of land instead of a larger parcel and
that one acre would offer space for home garden and
orchard and would be more affordable, thus
increasing the number of parcels available.

support of the rezoning request of Elizabeth
McCormick.
Comm. 1504.7: From Margie Wong dated June 6, 1988, informing of
her support of Elizabeth McCormick's rezoning
request.
Comm. 1504.8: From Stevan Josepho dated June 2, 1988, expressing
his support of the rezoning request of Elizabeth
McCormick. States keeping one-acre lots closer to
the highway, with three-acre and larger lots in the
higher elevations, makes sense in terms of
preserving the forest.
Comm. 1504.9: From Harry Wold dated June 10, 1988, informing of
his support of Elizabeth McCormick's rezoning
request.
Comm. 1504.10: Copy of letter to Planning Director Albert Lono Lyman
