Intr. by: Mr. Domingo 1st Reading: May 18, 1988 Res. 452: REVIEW OF JUDICIAL INFRASTRUCTURE Requests the Hawaii State Legislature and the Hawaii State Judiciary to review the judicial infrastructure on the Island of Hawaii, in view of the fact that the judicial infrastructure and services in Kona are inadequate and inequitable when considering that approximately 40 percent of all the new cases being filed are being filed in Kona, that staffing at the judiciary offices in Hilo and Kona are out of proportion to the workload, and that. West Hawaii does not have jail facilities to complement its judicial infrastructure.
