Transmits, for information, the minutes of the meeting and a membership roster and seeks support for better and equitable conditions for safety on the highways. Comm. 1770: COMMUNICATION From Kerrith H. (Kerry) King dated August 29, 1988, regarding communication between the Council and the community. Requests a special County Council all day meeting be held from the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to serve as a communication workshop for elected officials and citizens. Comm. 1504.26: REZONING REQUEST - ELIZABETH McCORMICK KALOKO, NORTH KONA TMK: 7-3-24:35 (25.9 acres) From Janice Baxter, M.S.W., dated August 25, 1988, informing of her support of Elizabeth McCormick's rezoning request because she feels the project will be a positive addition to the Kaloko area. Kokubun dated September 7, 1988, requesting that the Planning Committee follow up on the request of Resolution 462, regarding action to resolve conflicting land use designation. Res. 489: WEST HAWAII MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE Supports the intent of the General Improvements Act of 1988 in recognizing the need for locating a West Hawaii municipal golf course within the Kealakehe Community Development Project and urges the State Housing Finance and Development Corporation to expedite the implementation of this facility by incorporation into the proposed detailed master plan for the 1536-acre Kealakehe Planned Community. Requests a written hydrological report for the redrilled well, in order that the County may review the ramifications of the test well being deepened with respect to water quality, increase in flow, and the well's status as either a test or production well. Further, comments on Condition (B), which is directly related to the hydrological report for the redrilled well. Comm. 1773: RESORT HOUSING CONDITIONS FOR BILLS 607 & 608 From Planning Director Albert Lono Lyman dated September 7, 1988, responding to a request made at the Planning Committee's August 16, 1988 meeting regarding housing conditions for Bills 607 and 608. Bill 615: REZONING REQUEST - KAILUA BAY VILLAGE, INC. (C-1747) KAILUA VILLAGE, NORTH KONA TMK: 7-5-09:Portion of 25 (2.2 acres) Amends Section 25-89 (Kailua Urban Zone Map) Article 3, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code, by changing the district classification from Multiple Family Residential (RM-1) to Resort-Hotel (V-.75) at Auhaukeae 2nd, North Kona.
