Since the beach is extensively used by both
residents and tourists alike, it would serve the community at a higher level if this
site were designated a County park and if other lands in the area were used for
condominium development
This Wai'aha Bay site is also known to be flood prone; therefore, maintaining the
site as parkland reduces environmental risk to potential users. Also, flood-
caused overflow of the adjacent sewerage lift station will cause less damage to
parkland than to a condominium complex. Because the sewerage lift station is a
County facility, keeping the site as a park would reduce potential legal action
against the County if damage occurred.

Thank you for your consideration

Sincerely,

erry Coiner, P

Eliose M Coiner

Gomm.
