Aloha Hawaii County Council Members,
I hope Bill 276, Draft 2 will be passed by the Hawaii County Council. It contains significant and
important provisions that will improve the redistricting process and ensure that every Hawaii
resident's vote will have equal weight.
As a resident of Ocean View, which is likely to be redistricted after the 2010 census due to its
rapid growth, I am especially concerned that this process be fairly done and that my community
will not be split up into different districts.
