Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members,
We are requesting that the Solid Waste Division and consultant CH2MHill be allowed to present to the
Environmental Management Committee a monthly progress report on the update of the Integrated Solid Waste
• Management Plan.
The Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) meetings will be held on adjacent days to the County Council
Committee meetings to maximize visits and information-sharing while minimizing travel costs. It is crucial that
the County Council be involved and updated as information is made available every step of the way.

We are requesting at least an hour for the presentations at the above scheduled meetings of the Environmental
Management Committee.
The meeting will provide us the opportunity to share information that was discussed with the Solid Waste
Advisory Committee and which will be shared at public, community meetings throughout the duration of the
project.
If you have any questions, please contact Michael Dworsky, Solid Waste Division Chief, at 961-8515. Michael
will be coordinating with the Consultants on presenting the information on behalf of the Department.
