SUBJECT: Transmitting a communication regarding waiver of attomey-client privilege
This communication requests a discussion by the council on the internal policy regarding
waiving attorney-client privilege by less than nine votes. It is not my intent to limit the
discussion to only the number nine or to limit the options that may be discussed. I want to
encourage full participation of the council members on all potential options, including the option
of a motion to change this internal policy.
I request that this item be placed on the agenda for June 17, 2008 in the Public Works and
Intergovernmental Relations Committee. I estimate a one hour discussion.
