The creation of the Commission was the first recommendation in a ten-step action plan released in a November 2007 report titled Achieving Access to Justice for Hawaii's People, which can be found in its entirety at http://www. hsba. o rg/resources/ 1 /Documents/Access %20to%20J ustice. pdf The report was produced by a nonprofit entity called the Access for Justice Hui; a conglomeration of representatives from a variety of professional, educational, and civic organizations. The remaining nine steps of the ten-step action plan are listed in the attached resolution and further delineated in Exhibit A, a companion attachment to the resolution. The attached resolution also supports the implementation of the remaining nine steps of the ten-step action plan. Please refer the resolution to the appropriate committee to meet on June 17, 2008.
