Comm. 1063: APPOINTMENT TO THE WATER COMMISSION -GLENN Y. KUWAYE
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated November 2, 1998, submitting for
confirmation the following appointment to the Water Commission:
Mr. Glenn Y. Kuwaye, alife-time resident of Hilo who, since 1972,
has been employed by Allied Aggregates Corporation and presently serves
as its president. He has no political party affiliation.
If confirmed, Mr. Kuwaye will replace C. Kenneth Sowden of Hilo who resigned
to accept the position of Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation, and will serve
the unexpired term to end on December 31, 2001.

Comm. 1065: APPOINTMENT TO THE KAILUA VILLAGE DESIGN COMMISSION -
RONALD M. ARONSON, PAUL M. BLECK, AND ROBERT D. TRIANTOS
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated November 2, 1998, submitting for
confirmation the following appointments to the Kailua Village Design
Commission:
Mr. Ronald M. Aronson, a 28-year resident of Hawaii who, since 1996,
has been the President of the Kona Coast Realty Corporation. Prior to
that (1984-1996), he was a Senior Vice President with Clark Realty
Corporation.
Mr. Paul M. Bleck, an 8-year resident of Hawaii who, since 1992, has
been aself-employed architect.
Mr. Robert D. Triantos, an 30-year resident of Hawaii who, since 1979,
has been an attorney with Carlsmith, Ball, Wichman, Case and Ichiki.
If confirmed, Messrs. Aronson and Bleck will replace Stephen Bobko-Hellenaar
and Leimana DaMate, while Mr. Triantos will succeed himself; and will serve
terms to end on December 31, 2001.

KAUPULEHU, NORTH KONA, HAWAII, COVERED BY TAX MAP

letter and above bill from Planning Commission Chair Kevin M. Balog.
Comm. l 051.O1:From Planning Committee Chair Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd, dated
(Bill 332) November 4, 1998, transmitting Bill 332, Draft 2, which contains the following
(Draft 2) amendments: Amend Condition T with standard affordable housing language;
amend Condition U by including "by affected agencies"; and amend Condition W
with the inclusion of fair share contributions.
