SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT/WAIKOLOA ROAD
PROPOSED SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION, 55 MPH TO 45 MPH
Our Engineering Division has informed us that a section of Waikoloa Road within Federal Aid Project
No. STP-0191(002) has a design speed of 50 mph. To comply with the federal design speed, we submit
for your consideration and adoption the subject amendment to reduce the speed limit for this section of
Waikoloa Road from 55 mph to 45 mph. A location map is attached.
