Re: Kupulau Road Drywell Project
Dear Council Member Yoshimoto:
Thank you for the opportunity to review and provide comments on the proposed bill to amend
the capital budget by appropriating $50,000 to provide for the Kupulau Road Drywell Project.
As noted in your letter, a drywell is needed to mitigate localized flooding conditions on
Kupulau Road in Hilo. The Department of Public Works reports that a drywell on Kupulau
Road will mitigate flooding. This project is supported.
Thank you for your responsiveness to your constituents, and I thank you again for the
opportunity to provide comments on your proposal.
