The planning that went <br /> into our sidewalks and streets in the past has left us with an unsafe area for pedestrians and bicycle riders. At a time when citizens <br /> should be concentrating on minimizing our use of vehicle transportation and maximizing healthful activities like walking and biking we <br /> need the help of our elected officials to see that we have the infrastructure that Bill 285 provides. <br /> I would also like to testify in support of the Waimea Trail and Greenway project. This is a project that we as a community have been <br /> trying to get done for over 10 years. It will provide a greenway through Waimea that will promote healthy activities like walking, <br /> running & biking. It will provide access throughout our town, away from the hazardous streets.
