Please approve most of the items contained in Bill 285, which authorizes the County to issue bolds for $112
million to pay for critical capital improvement projects:
Especially important are:
the West Hawaii Civic Center
repair and improvements to our inadequate west side sewage plant and
® improvements to west side infrastructure
It is time to stop degrading our quality of life in West Hawaii. Please approve money to allow infrastructure to
catch up to development in West Hawaii.
Also important to include for our quality of life are expenditures for recreation and parks including:
regular repair and maintenance to our parks and personnel to accomplish this
o a park planner for Old Airport park to help citizens design the 35 acres conveyed to the county
$2.2 million for the Waimea Trail and Greenway,
$3 million for school zone safety improvements
