SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
KAMEHAMEHA AVENUE, MAUKA SIDE NEAR HAILI STREET
INTERSECTION
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 3, section 24-275,
schedule 23 (Bus stop locations), paragraph (c) (South Hilo), be amended by deleting
subparagraph (5).
The intent of this amendment is based on the changing traffic/parking needs of
Downtown Hilo. The opinion of Tom Brown, Administrator of the Mass "Transit Agency
is that this bus stop is not needed and would be okay with deleting it for the purpose of
adding more two hour parking in its place.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendments. Should you
