My name is Margo Ray and I was born and raised in Waimea and have seen many changes over
the last 31 years. The quality of life has greatly decreased in our community due to
heavy car traffic and lack of pedestrian friendly walkways. It can take up to ten minutes
to cross the street sometimes and is usually a very unpleasant experience to walk anywhere
in our town due to lack of sidewalks and such heavy traffic. It is not too late to make
Waimea a better community, especially for students in the 4 schools right in the heart. of
our town who should be able to walk safely about. I strongly support Bill 285. Please
let my vote count.
