This project will provide a safe and alternative means of traveling to school, work or shopping and leads by example in reducing the dependency and congestion on our roadways, let alone our "healthy lifestyles". To finally see the many hours and funds expended for this necessary public benefit with secured matching funds in place, fail due to political disagreements in this election year sets back the very essence of what capital improvements are meant to be used for. It is not whether we should move forward with this bond issue, it is whether these capital improvements fit the County's plan, having been in the works for many years. This bond issue could not be better timed both for seeing the projects through completion but for a lower bond costs due to the current economy pricing. Please do the right thing for the people of this County by voting "affirmative" and show leadership in providing such a wonderful asset as alternative connectivity within our villages. I know the people of Waimea will certainly be impressed as they were with your support for the waste to energy proposal! Aloha, J.William Sanborn PO Box 2824 Kamuela, HI 96743 Gomm. Nth Ref.
