Dear Council member, I am writing as a Waimea resident and a regular walker/cyclist.I used to live in the UK and am shocked at
how unsafe it is here for pedestrians and cyclists. I am asking you to support Bill 285 -anything that helps to protect pedestrians
particulary children and cyclists can only be a good thing for the residents of Hawaii, where there is an unusually high mortality rate
on the roads.This would help encourage people to use the more environmentally friendly ways of travelling, that are far less costly
and would help with the already congested traffic situation on our Island.
