Subject: Please support Bill 285
Aloha Members of the City Council
As a Board Director for the Waikoloa Village Association, I request your support and approval
to issue bonds for $112 million to pay for critical capital improvement projects needed on this
island, including $2.2 million for the Waimea Trail and Greenway, as well as $3 million for
school zone safety improvements. This bill is crucial for the safe walking and bicycling
facilities on our island.
Please don't let Bill 285 fail as before.
If our Police Department can get approval to purchase cars that cost $29,000 more than cars
in Denver, Colorado, it would seem only fair that our children and residents of our island also
deserve the very best for their life and safety as well.
