Dear Chairperson Arakaki:
The purpose of this letter is to request an Executive Session in the above entitled case pursuant
to the Third Circuit Court's Settlement Conference held on June 27, 1998. I am making this
request on behalf of Mr. David Minkin, the attorney representing the County of Hawaii. Mr.
Minkin will follow up with a confidential attorney-client privileged communication letter
concerning the County's confidential position on settlement.
Please place this matter on the County Council's agenda for its July 15, 1998 meeting.
