COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />~~tv or ~• <br />~'k~~ <br />Id1~ <br />•~~ ~• STATE OF HAWAII <br />,: <br />~,..~.• <br />••T~ Of ~N~'+` <br />RESOLUTION NO. 690 08 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br />A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has requested funds to help <br />defer cost for the Moku O Keawe International Festival set for November 5-9, 2008 in <br />Waikoloa; and <br />WHEREAS, the Festival features a hula competition, arts, crafts and traditional <br />workshops in the art and cultures practices; and <br />WHEREAS, specialized instructors will provide three days of workshops in the <br />various traditional arts (Puniu, Lei Wili, Uluuli, `Ohe Kapala, water color/oil painting, and <br />drawing with a cultural basis); and <br />WHEREAS, each instructor will provide one-to-one instruction along with all <br />supplies, equipment and materials; and <br />WHEREAS, students from around the State, the Mainland and Japan will participate <br />in the festival; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Arts Division to the be used towards the <br />Moku O Keawe International Festival; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $6,500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $6,500 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.500.5517.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $6,500 <br />Culture/Arts OCE <br />(Moku O Keawe International Festival) <br />
