A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division has
requested funds to assist in the Annual Kalae Iki Baseball Clinic; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, University of Hawaii at Hilo,
Betty Kanuha Foundation and Gifford Foundation will be partnering to conduct the Annual
Kalae Baseball Clinic scheduled for July 18-20, 2008, at the Kailua Park Complex in Kona;
and
WHEREAS, twelve top-notch mainland college coaches will provide fundamental
training skills to youngsters island-wide; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated
to the Department of Parks & Recreation, Recreation Division to be used towards the Annual
Kalae Iki Baseball Clinic; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,500
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5507.21 Department of Parks & Recreation $2,500
Recreation Div. -Class/Activ, Misc. Charg
(Kalae Iki Baseball Clinic)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
