Re West Hawaii Civic Center
I am in support of building the West Hawaii Civic Center in West Hawaii- Kona - located at Kealakehe Parkway.
Several reasons the facility is necessary
1 Centrally locate facility to ease traffic congestion
2 Access will be served by intermediate roadways proposed.
3 We can no longer worry about scrambling for a conference room to hold meetings
4 The pubic can access resources & services without having to drive about town creating traffic log
5 The center can also serve as another location for other agency's use
6 The design could be modified to fit our County budget by providing only essential services
7 The facility can serve as a Civil Defense location in Emergency Situation, i.e. Tsunami warnings
8 Current location of County Bldg in Kona is located in a Flood Zone
9 Current County Building has to be rented at County expense
