Subject: Funding for bond issue
Dear County Council:
Please vote for the proposed $115 million bond float for a West Hawaii Civic Center and several connector road
projects.
Please also vote for the Hilo fire station and administrative complex.
The Civic center is important to West Hawaii in order to accomodate the citizens who wish to attend meetings at
venues that right now, the County has to pay for with our taxpayer monies. In case you have forgotten, West
Hawaii sends about 70% of its taxes to Hilo for it to administer the entire island. It is time that west Hawaii, with
its population equal to Hilo, has an equal opportunity to the government and it's operations.
